What skills cause weakness, and whats the effect?
Hello,
I was wondering if anybody knew which skillls cause weakness, besides enervating charge, and whats the effect of weakness. The idea is to do stoning after weakness. Any help will be apreciated. Thank you. |

66% reduction in damage i think. For physical like warriors/rangers
enfeeble, enfeebling blood, enervating charge, axe __ (needs a deep wound), virulence (i think), erm..... thats all i can think of atm. |

I tried a weakness/stoning combo not too long ago. I used an E/* the secondary was unused, although going /Me for hex breaker could be useful.
I used 16 Earth 12 + 1 + 3 10 Air 9 + 1 8 or 9 (+1) Energy? (can't remember) Skills were: Enervating Charge (about 18 - 20+ seconds of weakness) Stoning (the combo skill... dmg + knockdown) Shock Aftershock Iron Mist (Combos with Wand for 90% slow) Elemental Attunement {E} Conjure Lightning Res Sig. I made the build for comp arenas, and it worked fairly well. I used Pyromancer Armor (so many newbies play the fire template :-)) I used a lightning staff with +20% enchantments and +30 HP. The idea is to find a target to knock down - monks and necros are good targets for this. Pop them with enervating, they now have weakness. Stoning gives you knockdowns now, and while stoning recycles, whilst they are briefly on their butt, run over with shock (another knockdown) followed by aftershock. For runners or Warriors who decided to beat your face in, drop an Iron Mist on them, and laugh with idiotic glee as you run and wand, run and wand, run and wand. the problem with this build is that it does rely on Elemental Attunement, and EA isn't real friendly with Conjure (it strips all enchants when you cast it) but you could sub Conjure out for Blinding Flash or Armor of Earth or something easily. Without EA up, the build quickly runs out of steam. You can't pop off shock non-stop either, as you don't have the base mana supply to support repeated exhautions. This is why you'll note Obsidian Flame is not present - same problem, except it's too tempting to spam Ob Flame . The bar above is just what I found comfortable playing Comp Arenas with. |

Heh... I run almost the exact same build in comp arenas as well though, as you mentioned, I've found it better to run armor of earth in conjure's slot.

yeah, i've put stoning on my hammer warrior's bar before, it's another good knockdown - i would use Dev Hammer, then Heavy Blow, Aftershock, Stoning, for a total of 3 knockdowns consecutively. it works, but that's 25 mana you have to cough up - i wish stoning were cheaper to cast. it does work well with a zealous hilt and frenzy though.
